A British suspect has surrendered to Greek authorities in connection with the murder of a teenager in Lancashire last year.

Matthew Daulby, 19, from Liverpool, was fatally stabbed in Ormskirk on July 29, 2023.

Thomas Dures, 21, was arrested in Athens last Monday after turning himself in at a police station in Ilioupoli, central Athens. Accompanied by his Greek lawyer, Alexis Anagnostakis, Dures requested his extradition to the UK.

He had been wanted on an Interpol warrant. British authorities had offered a £24,000 reward for information leading to his location or arrest.

Authorities confirmed that arrangements are underway to extradite Dures, who is currently being held at the high-security Korydallos Prison, back to the UK.
